An earthquake shock was felt here shortly before 1 p.m. yesterday. Bottles, glasses, and light articles rattled, but the shock was felt only by those who were not in motion. HoKiTiKA, This day.
A distinct cathquake shock was felt hero at 12.50 p.m. The oscillation and subsequent tremors lasted nine seconds. The direction was apparently from north-east to south-west.
