From Clivc School Committee, announcing Mr Edward Bissoll had been appointed head master.—Confirmed. . From Taradale, informing the Board of' tho appointment of Mr Pendval Bear to tho head mastership.—Appointment confirmed a From Taradale, asking Master Kirkpatrick's appointment as pupil teacher to date from Ist November, 1883.—N0 alteration could be made in the appointment of Ktricpatrick as a candidate for a pupil teachership. From Woodville, asking for an addition to the playground. —Board unable to mako any further recommendation. From Ivaikora, notifying Miss Soley's resignation.— ; Action confirmed. AXNUAL RETIHEMENT OF MEJIHERS. The Rev. D. Sidey and Messrs R. Harding and W. White retire in March next as members of the Board, each of whom is, however, eligible for re-election. NOTICE OF MOTION. Mr Guy gavo notice that at tho next meeting of the Board ho would move, " That all teachers holding conditional or provisional certificates be notified that unless they qualify themselves within tho period mentioned in Rule 15 of the regulations made under the Education Act their services will be dispensed with, and that all teachers in charge of schools with an average attendance of 100 bo requested to hold certificates of a status not lowor than, E.
