NAPIER GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL will be opened on January '29, with Miss Hewitt as Lady Principal with efficient assistance. The teaching will compriso tho subjects usually taught in a firstclass secondary school. The school year will bo divided into three Terms. The school fees will be nine guineas one pupil; eight guineas each for two or more from one family. Board fees for boarders, £40 per annum. The space for boarders being limited, early application is invited, and priority will be according to time of application. Parents intending their children to attend the school as day pupils are invited to notify the same to enable the Board of Governors to make suitable arrangements. DAVID SIDEY, Hon. Sec. WANTED— A Head Master for the Hastings District School. The average attendance for the quarter ending September 30 was 154 ; tho present average attendance is 170 ; the number on the roll is 231, and the population is rapidly increasing. Tho salary as per Education Board scale would be for an average attendance of 170, at the rate of £199 lGs per annum, with bonus for percentage of pupils passed, and fees for instruction of pupil teachers.
