No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. No qualification fee. The rules and weights of tho Hawke s Bay Jot-key Club will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will bo deducted from tho gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 percent, of the stakes. All nominations, acceptances, and general entries, accompanied by the necessary amount iv cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at tho Criterion Hotel, Napier, "not later than 8 p.m. on the several undernotcd dates. Consolation Rack —Of 10 soys., one mile, for all beaten horses. Post entrance, 1 soy. RULES. No person allowed to enter a horse unless he is a subscriber of at least one guinea to the Club. All disputes, claims, or objections to be decided by a majority of the stewards, or whom they may appoint, whoso decision shall be final. All protests to bo accompanied with a deposit of two guineas, to be forfeited if the protest is considered frivolous. Three horses to start in each race, or only half the money will be given. "Hack" shall meau a horse that has never started in a wcight-for-agc or handi- ; cap race. Acceptances for the Handicap Hurdle Race, W.C.R.C. Handicap, and tho Railway Handicap, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, and colors of riders, must bo loft with the secretary not later than 8 p.m. on the 22nd of December, Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes.
