CUSTOMS REVENUE OF THE COLONY.
"Wellington, This day. The Customs revenue collected throughout the colony last month was £ L0G,403 5s Gd ; for the corresponding month last year it was £127,618 18s Id. The largest contributors last month were—Dunedin, £27,828 2s 9d; Auckland, £23,302 15s; "Wellington, £17,883 0s Gd ; Lyttelton andChiistchuroh, £15,012 lls Id. The total revenue for the eight months of tho financial year is £933,290 15s 10d, which is below the Treasurer's estimate for that period by £80,036 10s 10d. Tho beer duty last month was £4675 10s 4d, as against £5292 lls lid for November, 1882. The amounts collected at the four principal centres during the former period were—Dunedin, £1026 18s sd; Clmstcliurch, £971 6s 3d; Auckland, £951 2s sd; Wellington, £120 lls 10d. For the eight months the total revenue from this source is £35,815 12s 4d, which is £5517 Ms 4d under the estimate.
