THE following provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 187G, relative to drainage, are published for general information, and NOTICE is hereby given that on and after the Ist of December next the Council will strictly enforce the buy relating to making drains to connect premises with the main sewers. Municipal Corporations Act, IS7G, Clause 221. "IF any land or building within the borough, lying within ono hundred feet from the sea or from a public drain, can be and is not drained by somo pipe or drain to the satisfaction of the Council, the Council may make such drain as it thinks necessary to carry the drainage of such building to the sea or to such public drain, and may recover the cost of such ivork, not exceeding ono year's rack rent of such land or building from the owner or occupier thereof."
