At the meeting of the Annexation Conference to-day the Hon. A. Stuart, Premier, New South AVales, was elected President. Tho discussion to-day was confined to preliminary measures. It has been decided that the Press shall not bo admitted to the meetings of the delegates. The five French escapees from New Caledonia, who arrived here in great distress, admit they woro convicted of felony.
