Dunedin, This day. Instructions havo been issued by the Public Works Department to stop work on the Hindon section of tho Otago Central railway, and 120 men have been discharged. Tenders are now invited by tho Public Works Department for a section of the Cathus river line, over which there has been much growling at the delay. This section avi'll complete the line to South Molyneux, and allow it to be opened to there. The work is to be finished before this time next year.
