Consols have advanced to 1011
New Zealand securities remain as follows : • —Five per cent. 10-40 loan, 105!-; five per Cent. 1889 loan, ex-dividend, 103! ; four and a half per cent. 1879-1901 loan, 100? ; four percent, inscribed stock, 100, ex-dividend. Wheat has advanced (kl to 1/- per quarter, Adelaide, ox-storo, is now quoted at 45/6, and New Zealand ditto at 38/0 to 44/0.
Australian (allow, best beef remains at 38/G, and best mutton at 40/-.
The market rate of discount has further fallen one-eighth, and is now 2.} per cent. ; bank rate, .'3 per cent.
