WALKING MATCH.

This day
Tho forty-eight hours' walking match between Scott and Edwards began at 10 o'clock last night. In the first hour Edwards did 5 miles 15 laps, and Scott 5 miles 13 laps. About 300 people wero present. At 1.30 to-day tho walking match stood as follows:—Scott, 70 miles; Edwards, 75 miles 11 laps.
