It has transpired that a demand was made for further reparation than that already accorded by President Grevy's apology for the insult offered to King Alfonso in Paris. The demand having been refused by the French Government, King Alfonso required that further action should be taken in the matter, but the Spanish Ministry has been unable to agree that such a course is necessary, and the Premier, Senor Sagista, has tendered His Majesty the resignations of himself and his colleagues.
