The Noav Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report, under date London, October 9, that tho wheat market i.-) dull. Adelaide is Avorth 47/-, and Noav Zealand 42/G per 490 lbs; Ncav Zealand fair average quality is Avorth, c.i.f. off coast, 40/0 per 480 lbs. The talloAV market is firm; mutton is Avorth 43/-, and beef 41/- per cwt. The leather market is firm; best sides aro Avorth llh per lb. For Now Zealand Hemp the market is quiet, aud fine is Avorth £28 per ton.
[BY CABLE.] London, October 10. Consols remain at 101 }, and New Zealand securities at yesterday's quotations. The market rate of discount has fallen one-eighth, and is now 2} por cent; bank rate, 3 per cent. The market for colonial breadstuff's continues depressed, and a general fall in prices has taken place. To-day's quotations arc as folloAvs: —Adelaide Avheat, exstorc, 45/-; Now Zealand ditto, 38/0 to 43/0 ; Adelaide Hour, cx-Avarchouse, 32/-. Australian tallow—Best beef is firm at 40/0, and best mutton at 42/0.
