Last night a man named Thomas Nelson, a biishman, attempted to poison himself Avith half an ounce of laudanuim This morning a man named Dingoldy, a tailor, attempted to commit suicide by taking vermin killer. He then Avrote a letter stating Avhat he had done, and gave himself up to the police. In both cases medical assistance Avas at hand immediately, and both lives Avero saved.
