A GROSS DECEIT.
Dusedin, This day. A CiiHC came before the Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday in which Mr Wright, proprietor of the " Australian and American Directory," sued a customer for £'1 2s, the price of the work. The defence was that the information contained in the work had been collected in 1870, thus rendering the directory comparatively valueless, and that a false label, bearing date 1883-84. had been pasted over the.
figures 18S2, originally printed on the cover. The R.M. said the thing was a gross deceit, and gave judgment for defendant.
