September. 1-I—Kiwi, s.s., for Wellington via the coast. 14 —Taiaroa, s.s., for Poverty Bay, Tauranga, and Auckland. Passengers —Capt. Gascoigue, and Messrs Prebble and Locke. 15—Margaretha, barque, for Colombo, Ceylon.

The outward passengers and mails wore transhipped to thcTaiaroa about 4.30 p.m. yesterday, tho .steamer getting away for Poverty Bay, Tauranga, and Auckland at 5.15 p.m. The Union Company's steamer Southern Cross left Gisboriie at G o'clock last night, and arrived in the roadstead at about the Bamo hour this morning , . She was brought inside by the pilot at 11.30 a.m., and was borthed at the breastwork, where slio will discharge her cargo. She is to steam hence for Wellington at o p.m. to-day. Tho steamer Kiwi took in a quantity of fresh provisions yesterday, and in the afternoon proceeded on her passage again for Wellington via coastal .stations. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Tiirawera, Captain Sinclair, from Auckland and Gisborno, arrived in the harbor at about C a.m. this day, having left the latter port at 8 o'clock last night. The steamer Sir Donald lightered her of her cargo, some 20 tons, and discharged it later on at tho breastwork. The outward mails and passengers will bo taken off to the Tarawcra by the launch at 2 o'clock this afternoon, the vessel sailing for Southern ports and Melbourne shortly afterwards. Tho barque Margarctha, Capt. do Boer, had her supply of water taken off by the launch Boojum yesterday afternoon, and at 6 o'clock tliis morning set sail for Colombo, Island of Ceylon, in ballast, but owing to tho lightness of the wind had made very little progress up to the time we went to press. The Wairoa steamers hope to receive a more favorable account of the Wairoa bar this afternoon, and if possible to proceed on their passage at 0 o'clock to-morrow morning. The Union Company's steamer Manapouri was to have loft Wellington for this port at 3 p.m. this day, having 150 tons of cargo on board for here. She may be expected to arrive in good time to-morrow morning, and will bo at onco tendered by tho launch for passengers and by the lighters Sir Donald and Admiral for her cargo. The Manapouri is announced to steam for Sydney via Gisbornc and Auckland at 4 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.
