The Nnpicr agent of the Now Zcoland Loan and Mercantile Agency Company his received from the London oflico of the company the following telegram, under date tho 4th instant : — "Wool. —Competition is increasing and the market is firmer ; still there is much irregularity in tho biddings. Home buyers are purchasing freely, but Continental demand is limited. Seedy and burry wools are neglected. New Zealand long staple merino is in demand, but short growth is neglected. Up to date 118,000 bales have been sold.
Wheat. — Market firm. Adolaido is ■worth 47/G, and New Zealand 44/- per 4961b. New Zealand f.a.ti is worth c.i.f. off coast 42/- per 480lbs.
[By Cablk.] Loxdon , , September o. Consols remain at 100J-, and Now Zealand securities (it yesterday's quotations. The market for colonial broad.stuns continues dull. Adelaide wheat is unchanged at 47/-, and New Zealand ditto at 44/- to 46/-; Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse, 33/-. Australian tallow, best beef -10/-, and best mutton 41/-.
