LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
Thursday. The Council met at 2 30 p.m. SUSPENSION , OF STANDING ORDERS. The Standing Orders were suspended for tho remainder of the session to enable Government bills to pass through all their stages in one day. BILLS. The Railways Construction Bill, the Land Act Amendment Bill, and the Auckland Hospital Reserves Bill wore read a third time and passed. Tho Gold Duties Abolition Bill was thrown out on the motion of Dr. Pollen by IS to 13. Tho Corrupt Practices Prevention Bill and the Land Transfer Act Amendment Bill were read a third time and passed.
