The consumption of gas by the Otto gas engine is guaranteed to be 20 to 70 per cent, less than in any other gas engines. Mr Otto has been again obliged to commence actions against several firms for infringements of his patents. After tho action of Otto v. Listford (in which Linford was defeated, ordered to pay costs, and cease manufacturing) all agents and purchasers of the Lindford engine were obliged to pay royalty. Tho now pattern halfhorse power nominal Otto's patent indicates up to two-horse power, is the lowest priced, most economical, and best gas engine in the market.
