MR BROOKING'S SHARE REPORT. I am unable to report any noticeable difference iv the market of the previous Avcek, Avith the exception perhaps of South British stock, Avhich, as usual, when the dividend is approaching, has a slightly upward tendency, although very slight. The Mikoniii AVatcr-racc and Goldmining Company, ivhich is now being floated (the shares in Avhich aro being rapidly taken up), is Avith very little doubt a good thing, as from the auriferous nature of the ground immediately adjoining it, Avliich has already been, and still is, being Avorkcd Avith great satisfaction, it can hardly fail to turn out a good and profitable venture, and the Avaterracc Avhen completed Avill add another und ji very largo item to tho company's income. The amount of Avlicat afloat for the United Kingdom has increased by GO,OOO quarters during the Avcek, aud today is given as 165,000 quarters. Australian talloAV has advanced by Gd per cwt., best beef being quoted at 40/-, and best mutton at 41/-. Melbourne, Saturday. Private telegrams received by Messrs Henty and Co. from Foo Chow give the export of this season's tea to the colonies to date as eight million pounds, not nine millions as stated in a previous telegram.
