FOUNDERING OF A THREE-MASTED SCHOONER AT SEA.

The three-masted schooner Alma, OAvncd by. Messrs Henry, Guthrie, Henderson, and Patterson, of Dunedin, tho latter being in command, Avas lost on the voyage from AVanganui to Rockhampton, Avith sleepers. The crcAv Avere picked up by a vessel and landed at Port Elizabeth, 800 miles from Brisbane. The insurances on the hull are £400 iv tho Equitable office, £400 iv the United office. The National office has a policy of £-150, of Avhich the A r ietoria and New Zealand offices each have £150.
Further particulars to hand slioav that tho Alma was lost on Elizabeth Reef, 350 miles from Brisbane. Tho vessel Avhich picked the shipwrecked crew up Avas bound for Oregon, and landed Captain Patterson and his crew at the North Cape. Captain Patterson pulled in a boat to AYangaroa, from Avhenco ho telegraphed particulars. The Equitable office has a risk of £500 on the hull, and the United office only £300 on the hull, but has £250 on the freight. The Union office has £150 on the freight.
