Chrtstciiukcii, This day. The Waste Lands Board yesterday granted licenses to Long and party in the Malvern district. The object of the party is to discover a gold bearing reef. The Chief Commissioner announced that the Board had decided to defer the consideration of the other applications for prospectors licenses in the Malvern district till the next meeting, when they would consider for how long and for what" extent of ground. They felt a difficulty in dealing Avith so many applications for the same district, as if all Averc granted itAVonld shut up for months a large area in case of gold being discovered. Of the numerous applicants for diamond prospecting licenses not one answered Avhen his name avus called.
