A DIVORCE SUIT.

Dunedin, This day. The divorce case, Stewart v. SteAvart and Dickson, manager of the AVestport Coal Company, in which £1000 damages are claimed, was commenced to-day. Mr Smith, for the petitioner, addressed the Court at some length. The adultry was admitted, and the only question for the jury Avas to assess the damages. The plaintiff's counsel expresssd a hope that exemplary damages Ayould be given, and if the Judge made no order on the subject the petitioner Avould hand over the amount to the Benevolent Institution, as personally he refused to receive one farthing.
