SUPPRESSION OF REPUBLICAN JOURNALS IN MADRID.
REBELLION IN SPAIN CONSIDERED
OVER,
TURKISH GOVERNOR CAPTURED
BY BRIGANDS
CORDON ROUND ALEXANDRIA
ABOLISHED
MADRID,
August 11
In consequence of tho publication of an article attacking the Government and fomenting sedition all the Republican journals published in this city have been suppressed
August 13. Reports to hand from Catalonia and the northern provinces state that the rebellion may now be considered over, the despatch of loyal troops to the disturbed district having had the desired effect. There seem every reason to hope that there will not be any recurrence of the insurrectionary movement.
