This day

Tho Argus has despatched a special correspondent to Madagascar to report on events in that country. Sir Thomas Mcllwraith, tho Premier of Queensland, has requested Mr Service to summon a convention of delegates from the various colonies to consider the annexation

question. In the Assscmbly last night, Mr Service, in reply to a question said that he believed that some of the Irish informers were on board the steamship Pathan, but confessed that he was nonplussed what to do in the matter.
