MEETING OF COLONIAL LAND SETTLEMENT COMPANY.

An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Colonial Land Settlement Association AA'as held here yesterday, when the following Avere elected directors : —Messrs Patrick Butler, Reefton ; Michael Corcoran, Coromandel ; James Cook, AVellington, John Sheehan, M.H.R., aud J. B. AVhyte. M.H.R., Hamilton. Resolutions Avero passed taking out tho clauses relating to educational matters. A resolution proposed to limit the company's purchasing of land for two years Avas negatived, and the directors Avere authorised to carry out the clauses relating to land purchases and settlement. It is understood that the company is negotiating for the purchase of land in the Tauranga district for the purjiose of a S2>ecial settlement.
