NARROW ESCAPE FROM FIRE.

Tho shop of Mr Makonivi, barber, Colombo street, had a very narrow escape from destruction by fire last night. A number of pictures in the window woro ignited by gas, but after hard work the flames were extinguished before the Fire Brigade arrived.
