The Rev. Mr Whydoch, recently returned from Dunedin, has been appointed assistant to the Rev. T. Spurgcon in the Baptist Tabernacle here, and the Rev. Mr Clarke, of AVest Melbourne, has been cabled for to supply Mr Spurgeon's pulpit while he goes on a holiday to Australia.
