The Frozen Meat Company here absorbs the Fisher aud Company butchering and tinning business, the directors of Avhich join the neAV Board. Mr Banks, managing director, has put £10,000 in the new concern, and the other directors take a large interest in it. A powerful board has been formed, and Mr Banks has gone to America and England to send out exports in tinning and preserving, and the best appliances for freezing. It is hoped to have chilled chambers both on the East and West Coasts, and suitable steamers to carry meat to Auckland, Avhere provision Avill be made for ample storage, so that the steamers for England can havo cargo ready and bo loaded in a few hours. Efforts -will be made to have operations in full Avorking order in a year.
