The sittings of the Methodist Union Committee were continued yesterday under the presidency of the Rev. D. Dutton and Mr Reed respectively. Tho powers of church courts were considered, and considerable progress was made in forming the basis of a union for submission to tho rcspectivc churches. Unanimity was practically arrived at on all important questions. In the evening a public meeting avus held in the Durham-street church. The Rev. AY. Morley presided, and addresses of Avelcoine wero delivered by the Revs. E. Best, and AY. Tinsley. The following were the speakers on the various phases of Methodist union :—The Re\-s. D. Dutton, R. Ba\dn, J. AVhite, and J. AVilson. The committee made a series of recommendations to the various funds, settlement of properties, and duties of church officers. It was affirmed that all ministers would be profitably employed, and no serious difficulty is apprehended, concerning finance.
