An official enquiry was held yesterday before the Collector of Customs into the cause of the schooner Energy striking on tho bar in coming out of Greymouth. Captain Savory deposed that at the time the vessel struck the Aveather was fine, but a very heaA-y sea Avas breaking on the bar. He did not consider there Avas any danger in going out, especially as the Gael, draAving two feet more water, had gone safely out some half-hour before. The Energy Avill discharge her cargo of 201 tons, coke, and then be taken into dock for repairs. The damage to the A-essel is estimated at £400.
