PARIS.
June 22. The Marquis De Tseng, Chinese Ambassador to France, had au interview with M. Ferry, the Premier. It has transpired that the Maquis expressed a desire that the claims of Franco and China in Annam might be reconciled. M. Ferry is understood to have concurred in this view. Latest telegrams to hand from Tonquin report that General Balnet is _ organising his forces and fortifying Hanoi and Haiphong, but in the meantime active militc reoperations are suspended for the present. Juno 23. The trial of Louise Michel, the notorious Socialist, for sedition, was concluded to-day. The prisoner was found guilty, and was sentenced to six years penal servitude.
