An organ recital and sacred concert will be given in St. Paul's Church this evening, commencing , at S o'clock. The half-yearly meeting of St. John's Branch, H.A.C.8.5., takes place at the usual place at f.30 to-night. Every member of the Napier Volunteer Fire Brigade is requested to attend a special practice this evening. A general meeting- of members of the Hawko's Bay Jockey Club will bo held at the club rooms, Tennyson-street, at 11 a.m. to-morrow, for the purpose of electing new' members. A general meeting of the ITcretaunga Road Board takes place to-morrow for the purpose of levying , a general rate on all ratable property in the district. MrH. Baker, the Commissioner of Crown Lauds, will offer for sale by public auction in the Council Chamber, Napier, to-morrow, at 11 a.m., Crown lauds in theEuataniwha, Norsewood, and "VVoodville survey, districts, township of Tarawera, Kumeroa village, and Bushmills settlement, for cash and on deferred payments.
