FIRE AT PATEA.
Patea, This day
A fire broke out 3'esterday morning in Messrs Ludberg and Co.'s furniture warehouse. Tho upper story was used as a workshop, and it is supposed that some shavings had been ignited by a spark from the stove pipe. The stock, which is valued at £2000, was considerably damaged, but the building is not greatly injured, owing to the promptitude of the fire brigade. The insurances are—Stock, £300 in the Colonial oflico ; building, £150 in the North British office.
