Passengers—Mr and Mrs Steele, Mr and Mrs Hanna, Mrs Martin, Miss Purser, Messrs Myers, Tyne, G. Wilson, North, Nichol, and Hanna j un.

15—Southern Cross, s.s., for Gisborne and Auckland. Passengers — Mcsdames Goulett (2), Messrs Stainton, Lardelli, Gilbert, and Howard. 15—Enterprise, brigantine, for Dunedin.

The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Te Anau, Captain Carey, from Sydney via Northern ports, arrived in the roadstead at 6 o'clock this morning, and was at once tendered for inward mails and passengers by tho Boojum, and by the lighter for her cargo, some 25 tons. Tho following is a report of her passage down the coast, for -which we thank Mr J. Keith, her purser:— Left Auckland at 1 p.m. on tho 14th, and arrived at Gisborno at 3 p.m. on the loth ; left Gisborne same day at 0 p.m., and arrived at Napier as given above, having experienced utiong southorly winds and head sea throughout the passage. The outward mails and passengers are announced to leave tho wharf at 2 o'clock this afternoon, but as tho Te Anau is taking in a largo quantity of tallow and preserved meats for transhipment to tho lonic at Ijyttoltcm it will probably be a little later before she takes her departure for Melbourne via I-lobart and the South. Tho Union Steamship Company's h.s. Tarawcra, Captain Sinclair, dropped anchor in tho bay from Melbourne and Southern ports at noon this clay, and was shortly afterwards tendered by the Boojum for inward mails and passengers, and by the lighters Three Brothers, Sir Donald, and Admiral for her inward cargo, some 100 tons, the Sir Donald also taking off her outward cargo and 300 sheep for the Auckland market "during the afternoon. "We are indebted to Mr D. Dalgleish, the purser, for the following account of the passage from Melbourne:—Loft Hobson's Bay on tho Oth June at 5 p.m., and cleared the heads at 730 p.m.; had fine weather for two days, and afterwards strong southwesterly gales with high sea and heavy showers of sleet and hailstones ; was abreast of the Solanders on tho 10th at 3 p.m. ; lay under shelter of Stewart's Island till daybreak on the 11th, and arrived at the Bluff at 8 a.m. ; left at 4.30 p.m., had stormy weather along tho coast, and arrived at Port Chalmers on tho 12th at S a.m. ; left on the 13th at G p.m., and arrived at Lyttelton on tho 14th at 9 a.m. ; left same day at 6 p.m., and arrived at Wellington on the 16th at 10 a.m. ; left at G p.m., arriving at Napier as above. The outward passengers for the Tarawera will be taken off by the launch at 4 p.m., tho steamer resuming her voyage northwards shortly afterwards. The Union steamer Southern Cross, Capt. Allman, got away from the breastwork for Gisborne and Auckland lit 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and is telegraphed as having arrived at the former place at 6 o'clock this morning. Tho brigantine Enterprise, Capt. 8011, sailed for Dunediu at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, taking a full cargo of railway sleepers and other timber. The Wairoa traders Manaia and Maori, •which were to have left for that placo early this morning, wore dolayed by an unfavorable report of the Wairoa bar being received last evening. The s.s. Maori now expects to get away at 8 o'clock on Sunday morning, and tho p.s. Manaia at 9 a.m. on Monday. (By Cable.) Melbourne, Friday.
