Henry C'raue. charged with drunkenness, admitted the ofrence, and was iinod 5s and costs. From the evidence of Neil Carmichael, a young man, who, by bis own statement, also appeared to have been concerned in the disturbance, it was shown that the two lads charged had tied a large tin can to a dog's tail, and put the encumbered animal into the Methodist Church, Waipawa, during service, where tho dog's vagaries caused considerable disturbance. His Worship strongly animadverted on tho cowardly nature of the offence, and lined both defendants £'.i and costs. irousKimuAKixCr. Emmanuel Edwards was put forward in custody, charged by the police with having entered a dwelling at Ilamprlen on the 29th of May, and .stolen therefrom 11 suit of clothes and .-£l2. Tho evidence of Murdoch McLcllan, Thomas Glenny, and Constable Brosmahan was taken, from which it appeared that prisoner had entered the bouse of the witness McLcllan on tho day named, during his absence, and taken away the articles specified in the indictment. When arrested prisoner had the suit of clothes in his swag, and £8 of the money in his pocket. Prisoner offered no defence, and was committed to take his trial at the next sittings of the Supreme Court in Napier.
