POST-SESSIONAL ADDRESSES.
Cheistchurch, This day. Mr M'Millan, M.H.R., addressed his constituents at Springfield on Monday night. A vote of thanks was carried against an amendment for a vote of confidence by a majority of one. Nelson, This day. Mr Shcphard, M.H.R., who has been holding meetings in various parts of his constituency, has been compelled to desist owing to the state of his health. Invercargill, This day. Mr J. P. Joyce, M.H.R., for Awarua, met the electors at South Invorcargill on Monday. The attendance was fair. At the conclusion a vote of implicit confidence was passed. There were a few dissentients, on the ground of Mr Joyce's vote and views on the education question, he having supported Mr Pvke's bill last session. Mr" Feldwick, M.H.R., for Invercargill, addressed his constituents on Monday night in the Theatre Royal. The attendance was very meagre. Mr Feldwick spokef or over two hours. At the conclusion a vote of thanks and confidence was proposed, but an amendment thanking him for the address, but declining - to accept his explanation of his views re the education question, was carried.
