Wellington, This day, A meeting of influential citizens was hold yesterday afternoon, when resolutions were carried favorable to tho establishment of a woollen manufactory with a capital of £100,000 in £o shares, the namo of the company to bo tho Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Company (limited). Messrs G. R. Johnson, M.L.C., W. H. Levin, W. Hutchison, and C. J. Johnston, M.H.R.'s, and Jacob' Joseph, James Smith, and J. B. Hareourt were elected as the provisional directorate. It was resolved that the directors shall prepare and register a memorandum and articles of association so soon as £25,000 worth of shares are subscribed.
