The Ormond Road Board is in a curious fix. After the election of tho Board the returning officer sealed up the ballot papers to bo deposited for a year with the clerk of the R.M. Court for safe custody, and by a mistake also included the rate rolls. The clerk cannot break the seal under a penalty of £50, and under the circumstances the Highway Board can neither collect nor levy rates. The fact has caused much commotion.
