The civil sittings are now proceeding. The case of Marshall v. Baylcy and Tate, arising out of the late Mr Halse's affairs, was heard yesterday. The defendants were trustees of Mrs Marshall, but allowed her friends to manage the estate. The jir.y gave a verdict on several isauea, and the issue v, ill form the subject for an app , 'cation to the Court i:i Auckland for a decree in respect to the trustees.
