LONDON. May 0. It has been now determined that, if Mr Bradlaugh again attompts in any way to enter tho House Ox Commons, he shall be expelled the precincts. It is probable ho will resign his seat. The affirmation Bill was not made in any way a Ministciial question, aud the defeat of the Government ut)oii it ia not therefore regarded as a quc3-
tion of confidence. The majovity against it resulted from the knowledge that even i t the bill passed in the Lower House, the Lords would reject it. The question will now be deferred till after ihe next general election. Lord Northorook has stated that 'the Ad'.ir -ality has already adopted som.e of the suggpsliqns. made by the recent Cammission qn color-}ul defence:!, and he and Lord Carnarvon eulogised the piiVic spirit displayed by the colonics i.i providing as they had dojio for their own defence. Baron deLesseps assorts that it would be impossible to form a second canal across the tho Isthmus of Suez. A vessel named the Grofflcr has been brvned at Vancouver's Island, and fifty Chinese lost their lives in her. May G. A terrific explosion has occurred at Gosporfc, in Portsmouth harbor, where a powder magazine blew up, killing seven persons. Tne occurrence was accidental. May 7. The Tehuantepec ship railway has been commenced. Tho Right Hon. Richard Deasy, Lord Justice of Appeal in Ireland, is dead, at tho age of 73. May 8. O'Donovan Rossa is actively engaged :;i enrolling persons who are willing to caivy out the details of the dynamite policy. Mr Helmuth Schwai tze, a member of the well-known firm of wool brokers of that name, is dead.
