April 23. _ In the House of Commons to-day Sir Henry James, the Attorney-General, moved the second reading of the Affirmation iv Lieu of Oaths Bill, and the debute is hoav proceeding. In the appeal case, Bradlaugh v. 2sewde"■ate, judgment has been given for the appellant, and Ncwdegate has been condemned to pay the whole of tbe expenses.
