SERIOUS ACCIDENT TO A WOMAN ON A RAILWAY LINE.

Auckland, This day. When the 6 p.m. Onchunga train was between Te Papa station and Onchunga last evening, in rounding a curve the cowcatcher knocked a woman off the line. On the train being stopped to pick her up it was found that her .skull was fractured, her right ,inn broken, and one of her feet partly cut off. Dr Scott was soon in attendance, but gave no hope for her. She was removed to her home, having been identified as Mrs Lee, who gave evidence in the trial of Priestly and Mrs Hamilton. It is not known how she came to be on the line.
