In the trial of Brady at Dublin to-dny the informers Carey and Farrell Avere crossexamined at length, but their previous evidence as to Brady's guilt Avas in no Avav shaken. A photograph of "Number One" Avas identified in Court to-day by Carey and Farrell. Six men, named Norman, Gallagher, AVilson, Dalton, Kirtou, and Ansburghe, avlio Avere recently arrested in Loudon, Avere again brought up at Bow-street Police Court' to-day charged Avith being in unlawful possession of explosives, and conspiring to commit Mr Poland, in his opening speech for the prosecution, showed that the prisoners Avere connected Avith AVhitehead's factory recently seized at Birmingham. In the House of Commons to-day Sir Henry James, Attorney-General, announced that the Affirmation iv Lieu of Oaths Bill, Avhich Avas about to be tallied, was only inteiided to apply to future members of the House, and avouUl not be retrospcctiA-c. A further portion of the Duncd-ii's mutton has been sold at Gild per pound. April 13. The trial of the prisoner Brady for the murder of Lord Frederick CaA-endish and Mr Burke is still proceeding at Dublin. Evidence Avas given yesterday by independent Avituesscs full}- confirming the statements of the informer'Carey. The counsel for the defence is iioav endeavoring to prove an alibi on behalf of the prisoner. The trial of the dynamite conspirators at Bow street Police Court is still proceeding. Mr Poland, the prosecuting counsel, has further slioavii iv his opening speech that Gallagher is the prime mover of the dynamite faction, aud has for some time past been in correspondence Avith Devoy, Rossa, and other leaders of the Irish revolutionary party in America. The avool market continues quiet. The new arrivals to date for the next auctions amount to 200,000 bales. Later. Joseph Brady, the first of the piisoncrs charged with the murder of Lord CaA-endish and Mr Burke, has been found guilty and sentenced to death. In the House of Commons to-day Mr Gladstone announced that Lord AVolseley and Lord Alccstor (Admiral Seymour) will receive pensions of £2000 per year each for life.
