The inquest on the boy Harry AVain, 7-.',- years old, son of Frederick AVain, concerning whom the reports of illtreatment have been published, began yesterday. The only Avitness examined Avas Mrs Mitchell, a nurse avlio had attended Mrs AVain during her confinement, and Avhose attention was attracted to the boy by bismiserable appearance. Tlie parents afterAvards placed the boy in her charge, paying for his keep. She deposed to having seen Mrs AVain tic the boy's hands behind his back, and that Mrs AVain had told her this Avas done to restrain him from au evil habit he had acquired. The inquest Avill be resumed on Monday.
