An Irish demonstration took place to-day at Botany. It was largely attended, but the proceedings "were quiet and orderly. Mr Redmond made a speech, and took occasion to exonerate Mr Egau from the charge of misappropriation of the League's funds.

A great tiro occurred at Doniliquin, resulting in the destruction of four of the principal shops in the town. The loss of property is climated at .L'oOOO, which is only partially insured.
