TRAINING NOTES.
The course this morning- presented a lively appearance owing to the number of horses present, together with a fair sprinkling of the '' knowing ones, whose interest is now begining to awaken. Chaffe sent Epicure and Frederica one and threequarters very fast, both finishing well. Te Ata and Lubra started at a good pace, but after going once round pulled up behind the sheds, and did not again appear. The Ngaro filly, under her new trainer, did two miles fast work, while Luna went two miles at a good steady pace. Mischief, Yankee, and Carmen, in Indian file, went a threemile slow gallop. Libeller did two miles at a steady pace. Leonora and Kincraig went three-miles fast, the last mile in company with ParaAvhenua. Robina did two miles at a good smart gallop, while Tim Whifner and Kingask went three miles at a hard pace. Incense took a two-mile gallop by herself in smart time. Hipodamia had a few fitful spurts round the course at a canter, while AVild Dayrell did walking exercise. The course is in excellent condition, the turf being very fine and close. Sijil.
