TIMARU.
This day. The Customs revenue collected at the port of Timaru for the month of February was £1513, us compared with £2048 in the corresponding- month of last year. The following are the vital statistics for February:—3o births, 13 deaths, and 5 marriages. An Encampment of Knight Templars, under the name of the Plantagenct Prcceptory was formed hero on Tuesday. Tl:e consecration was conducted by the Grand Prior of New Zealand, Sir Knight William Deamer, M.D. The columns were under the command of Eminent Preceptor Sir Knight Henry Thomson, M.H.K., assisted by Sir Knight C. B. Hulbert. The ceremonies were on v scale of magniricence never before witnessed - in New Zealand, and lasted from early afternoon to midnight. The new Preceptory is under the command of Eminent Preceptor A. J. Parsons ;W. Lisle, High Constable ; C. Palliscr, Marshal ; and W. M. Sims, Captain of Guards.
