Messrs Banner and Liddle .sell on the premises, France road, to-morrow, at 11 a.m., Mr W. E. Taylor's household furniture and effects. A red and white steer, unless redeemed, will be sold at the Hastings pound tomorrow at noon. Mr Lyndon will sell, on the premises of Mr P. S". Macdonald at Hastings, on Friday, that gentleman's furniture and effects. A meeting of the members of the Hawke's Bay Sailing Club will be held in the Crow a Hotel, Port, on Friday ever , "ng, for the election of a regatta committee. Mr Monteith's timber sale, previously announced to take place on Tuesday next, has been postponed till further notice. The privileges of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's annual meeting will be sold by auction at the Criterion Hotel on Tuesday next by Messrs Hoadlcy, Lyon and Co. The bye-laws passed by the Borough Council relating to lighting fires in the open air, to cesspits, to driving around corners, to trees overhanging streets, to lime-kilns, to quarries, and to external walls of buildings within No. 2 district, have been approved of by the Governor, and are published for general information. Any one retrrning a parrot which is lost to Mr B. Sceffer, Hastings-street, will be rewarded. Messrs Blythe and Co. have opened new autumn goods, the summer goods having been cleared out. Mr Woods, dispensing and family chemist, has a large supply of homeopathic medicines of all kinds on hand. A number of new advertisements will be found in our " Wanted " column.
