ARRIVALS.
February. 22—Fairy, s.s., from Blackhead.
The steamer Fairy, Capt. John Campbell, returned from Blackhead last night with a part cariro of wool. The Union Company's steamer Manapouri, Capt. Logan, is to leave Wellington this afternoon, and should arrive hero in trood time to-morrow morning - . Her advertised time for Hailing- northwards is fixed at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. The steamer Kiwi, which arrived here the day before yesterday, is still lying idle at the breastwork, there being no facilities for discharging- so large v cargo as hers during -wet weather, the capacity of the newly erected goods sheds being inadequate for more than one-linlf of her cargo. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Wairarapa is telegraphed as having left Auckland at noon yesterday for Melbourne «md Southern ports, having on board some :]l) tons of cargo for this port. She is due here from Giaborne at daylight in the morning, - and after landing cargo and passengers i« announced to steam .southwards «t 11.30 a.m. Shipping operations at the port have been at a standstill for the last two days owing to the continued wet weather.

The ship Benan, which arrived from London yesterday, reports speaking the Brahman" from London to Auckland on January 18th, all well. On December 31st she fell iv with the ship Vello.se, from Liverpool to Melbourne, which signalled having ten feet of water in her fore eouipartment. The Beuan lent her force pumps to the Ycllose, and left her next day free of water. "Wkt.lixgtox, This day. Cleared —Lady Jocelyn and St. Leonards for London. The former takes a cargo valued at £71,31)8, of which .£I2,ICG represents frozen meat. The St. Leonards' cargo is valued at £'>7,71-3. Mr Gamble, the agent for the Pacific Mail Steamship Company, has received a telegram stating , that the City of New York sailed from San Francisco on AVedday, the 11th instant, being four days after the time-table date, and may therefore be expected to arrive at Auckland on "Wednesday the Oth of March.
