WELLINGTON.
This day. A serious fire is reported to have occurred at Collingwood, Golden Bay, on Sunday morning, AY'hich destroyed Ellis' store, James'" house, Prussings Miners' Arms Hotel, and Stallard's bakery, together with nearly all their contents. The insurances, so far as is kuoYvn, are as follows :--Ellis block (where the fire originated), £700 in the United office, £350 "of which is insured in the Royal and £100 in the NorAvich Union offices : Prussing, in the South British office, £500 on the building, £200 on the furniture, aud £100 on the stock. The total damage is reported to be £1000.
The GoY-ernor, accompanied only by his private secretary, left for the South in the Riugarooma yesterday.
